The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office (TPSO) and the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) are investigating a homicide that occurred in Tangipahoa Parish. During the weekend of Nov. 21, the TPSO made an arrest of an individual who admitted to the homicide of a female acquaintance. The suspect reportedly advised detectives that he had disposed of the body on the side of the road somewhere within the areas of Thomas to Mt Hermon, inside of Washington Parish.
The body is supposedly inside of a black bag. The suspect was not familiar with the area and described the area as a narrow paved road near a culvert or small bridge with possibly a couple of curves just past the bridge. TPSO and WPSO are seeking the help of the public in helping locate the body by keeping an eye out for any large black bags in the ditch or near the roadside.
Both agencies, the Franklinton Police Department and the Louisiana Search and Rescue K9 dog teams, have been conducting daily searches in the parish. However, due to the large area to search, they are asking if someone sees something suspicious that could possibly be the missing female remains, please call the WPSO at 985-839-3434.
