A native of Picayune, Miss., Donnette lived most of her life in Bogalusa, where she was a home maker and mother to so many, not just her three biological children. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and active member in the community. Most importantly she was a faithful servant for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: daughters, Dawn Dawsey Faucheaux (Michael) and Lesha Dawsey Misita (Bubbie); her son, Edwin Dawsey (Brandy); her grandchildren, Ryan Ranatza (Sara), Eric Bourne, Zack Dawsey and Cole Dawsey; and her brother, Darwyn Hilsher (Teresa). She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, and all kids and grandkids she adopted over the years who knew her as Nana.
