Elmo Anthony Flot Jr., 68, a resident of Bogalusa, departed his physical life and joined his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Harahan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his mother, Ola Mae Flot; father, Elmo Flot Sr.; brothers, Tyronne and Karial; sisters, Cheioquito and Gwen; and a son-in-love, Derrick.
Along with his wife, Thelma L. Flot of Bogalusa, survivors include his children, Frankie Felisha Blackwell of New Orleans, Jordon Elmo (Tamira) Smith of Bogalusa, and Brittnay Miracle Buckley of New Orleans; children-in-love, Tonica (Gerald) Johnson of Bogalusa, Anthony Morris, Jacqueline Peters and Lajuan Morris, all of Houston, Texas, and Garrod Morris of Odessa, Texas. His legacy will continue through his siblings, Central (Tracy) Flot of Lacombe, Alfreda (Willie) Williams of Bryan, Texas, Christopher Flot of Bogalusa, Baron (Latonya) Flot of Bryan, Mae Smith of Bryan, Patricia (Latimore) Holmes of Bogalusa, Vera (Remy) Williams of Mandeville, Lisa Davis of Hammond, Anthony (Stacie) Flot of Austin, Texas, and Gretchen Dillon of Spring, Texas; two aunts, Audrey McGary and Alzola Ducre of Lacombe; four uncles, Charlie Flot of New York, Samuel (Loretta) Ducre and Merlin Ducre, both of Lacombe, and Ray Page Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis.; two cousins whom he cherished as aunts, Mary Mingo of Bogalusa and Amanda Ducre of Lacombe; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A drive-through viewing will be on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
A graveside service will be Thursday, Aug. 12, at Bogalusa Cemetery with the Rev. Willie Gauthier, pastor.
