4-run 5th inning helps Bowling Green top Oak Forest

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 5-0 lead and went on to win, 5-2, over Oak Forest Academy in a home game that took place on Monday.
K.K. Seal singled, doubled and tallied two runs batted in.
Kylee Burris doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Albanie Fussell singled twice and scored a run.
Cassidy Spears went 2-for-3.
Anna Claire Crowe and Elizabeth Wilkinson both singled.
Hallie Serigne scored two runs, while Katherine Burris scored a run.
Winning pitcher Olivia Serigne threw six innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
Laken Culpepper pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit.
Bowling Green’s next game is Tuesday, Aug. 24 against Columbia Academy on the road.
