Bogalusa’s Lumberjacks went against Landry-Walker on Saturday for a scrimmage at Behrman Stadium.
“We saw some things we liked and we saw some things we didn’t like. We’re trying to improve on the things we did well and the things where we didn’t do well,” Bogalusa coach Cyril Crutchfield said. “So, just a typical scrimmage. I liked the way we competed. We went against a very athletic group, which is something we needed. Anytime we get to play against a worthy opponent, it gives you a measuring stick.”
The teams did four series of 10 plays and then played a live session.
Ashton Levi threw touchdowns for Bogalusa.
Tajdryn Forbes and Aquinas Roberts caught a touchdown each.
Levi connected with Forbes on a 70 yarder, while Levi’s touchdown pass to Roberts was for 10 yards.
During the live session, the Lumberjacks had two interception returns for touchdowns with one each by Michael Burton and Lance Jackson.
Tremon Ratliff recorded two sacks, while Julian Hampton had one.
Bogalusa is competing in the John Ehret Jamboree at Hoss Memtsas Stadium on Thursday at 5 p.m. against L.W. Higgins. That is the first of two games. John Ehret and George Washington Carver play in the second game.
“Once again, we’re just looking to improve from our performance on Saturday and how we’re able to improve on the positives and negatives,” Crutchfield said.
