On Aug. 4, 2021, God called Gisele Francis Lee home at the tender age of 58. She was affectionately known as “Greeneyes” as a child, she grew up learning about God’s word from her grandmother who took her to church then under the leadership of the late Eld. Howard Quillen Sr. and later would come to church from time to time as she got older, under the leadership of Bishop Howard Quillen Jr.

She leaves to mourn her memories: a loving husband, Charles “Rabbit” Lee; two daughters, Edna (Larry) Mingo and Demetris Avery of Bogalusa; two stepdaughters, Michelle Jordan of Sacramento, Calif., and Kitasawandi “Dee” Bryant of Baton Rouge; a godson, Richard Robinson of Bogalusa; two sisters, Missionary Carolyn Turner of Bogalusa, and Nina Mingo of Joliet, Ill.; a brother, Brian (Tasha) McCree of Bogalusa; a nephew, Larry Holmes Jr., whom she was very fond of; her aunt, Missionary Mary K. Quillen (Bishop Howard Quillen Jr.) of Bogalusa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Edna Mae Keys Mingo; dad, Ralph Manning; her grandparents, Mr. Denson and Mrs. Elizabeth Keys; brother, Kenneth Wayne Mingo; sister-in-law, Delois Lumpkin; brother-in-law, Larry (Meka) Holloway; aunts, Hattie “Jannie” Burrell and Mary Francis Quinn.

A drive-through viewing will be Thursday, Aug. 26, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 27, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home at 1 p.m., with the Bishop Howard Quillen officiating. Interment at Ponemah Cemetery.
