Jackie Marie Nichols Brown was born on May 11, 1966, to the late Ozell Nichols and Judy Robinson. She peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2021. She was 55 years old.

Jackie leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: her husband of 27 years, Clyde Brown; one daughter, Japonica Brown; and one son, Cordero Brown, all of Bogalusa; one granddaughter, Saria Young of Bogalusa; her mother, Judy Robinson and her bonus mother, Sarah Nichols of Angie; three brothers, Apostle Kenneth (Tonia) Nichols of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, LeBrandon (DeShawn) Robinson of Auburn, Ga., and Brian (Cashanda) Nichols of Angie; one sister, Tywonda Robinson of Angie; godsisters, Glendora Hawthorne of Bogalusa, Virginia Williams and Callie Jefferson of Baton Rouge, and Laquisha Greely-Mark of Angie; three aunts, Mae Anderson of New Orleans, Lois Franklin of Houston, Texas, and Nercille Jefferson of Angie; two uncles, Marris Jefferson of Angie, and Richard (Linda) Stallworth of Waco, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Mary B. Laurent, Jeanette Brown and Sue Brown, all of Bogalusa; two brothers-in-law, Douglas May of Los Angeles, Calif., and Hollis Brown of Bogalusa; special friends, Paula Bickham, Dorothy Harry, Beverly Kelly, Ruby Johnson and Helen Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and other friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Ozell “Jack” Nichols; her grandparents, Lois Jefferson, Porter Nichols and Julia Mae Nichols; and a special friend and classmate, Ryan Jefferson I.

The drive-through viewing was held Friday, Aug. 27, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with interment at Dillon Cemetery.
