On Saturday, the Washington Parish Jail took custody of a fugitive from Wexford County, Mich., and the City of Cadillac, Mich., who was wanted on felony charges, according to Chief Criminal Deputy Mike Haley of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Jasper Zachery Hill, 30, who claimed residence in Franklinton, was brought to the jail by a bail enforcement agent who located and apprehended him.
“Those who attempt to run from their legal obligations usually run straight into another law enforcement agency,” Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said. “We are glad to assist Michigan law enforcement and detain Mr. Hill until they can return him to jail there.”
