Rufus S. Page Jr., a resident of Bogalusa, age 83, born on Jan. 24, 1932, in Wiggins, Miss., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.

He was a United States WWII veteran and a member and former deacon of Highland Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Nell Smith; two daughters, April (Patrick) McCabe and Linda Page; and four grandchildren, Miles Arsenault, Leyton Page, Madelyn Harris and Zachary Harris.

He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Wayne Page; and by his parents, Rufus and Docia Page.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral services will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., with the Rev. David Heddon officiating. Interment will be held at Ponemah Cemetery.
