Pine’s Lady Raiders were defeated in the volleyball playoffs, 25-5, 25-4, 25-10, by Ascension Episcopal in the bi-district round of the Division IV playoffs on the road Tuesday.

Mya Starnes recorded five kills and three blocks.

Top-seeded Ascension Episcopal, who went to the Division IV state semifinals last year, is 29-8. They will play against No. 17 McDonogh 35 (17-5) in the regional round of the state playoffs. McDonogh 35 defeated 16th-seeded Patterson (18-8) 25-27, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13.

The winner goes against either eighth-seeded Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans (21-9) or No. 9 Parkview Baptist (20-12).
