Varnado’s Lady Cats were defeated by Springfield and Pearl River in home games that were held on Dec. 20 and last Wednesday.

The game against Springfield was 45-25 on Dec. 20

Jakyra Daggs led Varnado with nine points.

Myeasha Peters posted eight.

Jalisia Jackson recorded six.

Tyriah Davis tallied two.

Last Wednesday’s game was a 54-18 loss to Pearl River.

Daggs topped Varnado with five points.

Peters and Fox both tallied four.

Jackson posted three.

Kasia McGowan recorded two.

“In both games we looked sluggish and we were not able to get our offense going,” Varnado coach Garnet Fornea said. “Our coaching staff is looking to make some adjustments to our offense in hopes of boosting our game play.”

Varnado’s next game will take place next Dec. 28 against John F. Kennedy on the road.
