Ethel Wilson

Ethel Hunt Wilson, born May 7. 1931, passed away at home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at the age of 83. She was born of Taft and Velma Hunt. Ethel was a devoted religious woman of the Pentecostal faith.
She leaves behind two sons, David Wilson and spouse Joe Mullen and Ken Wilson and wife Vera Wilson; daughter-in-law, Paula Wilson of Andalusia, Ala., four grandchildren, Casey, Faith, Brook and Elizabeth; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Willow; Blake, who knew her as “Grandmaw” Wilson”; Hayden, Ryder and Sloan; a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Ladner of Abita Springs; a brother, Ralph Hunt of Kenansville, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Wilson; a son, Dale Wilson; three sisters, Bernice Emole, Florence Mizell and Donna Miley; and three brothers, Dan Hunt, Jerry Hunt and Michael Hunt.
Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Friday morning after 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Wayne Grant will conduct the religious services, with the interment to follow in the Mizell Cemetery in Sun.
