Mt. Hermon comes back to defeat Pine

Mt. Hermon School scored six runs in the seventh inning to defeat Pine, 18-17, in a softball game held on Tuesday at home.
Pine led 15-12 after six innings and added two more runs in the seventh to go up 17-12, but Mt. Hermon put up six runs in the seventh to win, 18-17.
Emily Bulloch tallied two hits, including a triple, with four runs batted in and a run scored for Mt. Hermon.
Alyssa Urban posted two hits that included a double with three RBIs and three runs scored.
Alexis Magee singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs.
Layla Riley singled twice, drove in two and scored two runs.
Alexa Bulloch posted a hit and three runs scored.
Bailey Fortenberry singled, had an RBI and scored two runs.
Katherine Quin posted a hit with two runs batted in and a run scored.
Kamryn Huval drove in a run.
Pine’s Alyssa Phelps went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
Addyson Phelps posted four hits with three runs batted in and four runs scored.
Kloie Alexander tallied three hits that included a double with an RBI and three runs scored.
Kori Sumrall and Bailey Brooks both posted two singles with two runs driven in and two runs scored.
Lily Crain singled and doubled with a run batted in and a run scored.
Kirbee Magee had two singles, an RBI and a run scored.
Baleigh Dunn singled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Dillon Sumrall singled and drove in a run.
On Monday, Mt. Hermon School was defeated by Jewel Sumner, 12-2, at home in five innings.
Jadyn Stafford singled and drove in two runs.
Alexa Bulloch singled and scored a run.
Emily Bulloch scored a run.
On Thursday, Mt. Hermon swept a doubleheader from Independence, 19-0 and 29-5.
The 19-0 game was three innings.
Stafford tallied three hits that included a double with three runs batted in and three runs scored.
Fortenberry homered, singled, drove in three runs and scored three runs.
Emily Bulloch singled, doubled, drove in three and scored two runs.
Urban recorded two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Alexa Bulloch doubled twice, drove in a run and scored three runs.
Riley doubled with an RBI and two runs scored.
Magee singled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Kenzie Tetreau singled with two RBIs and a run scored.
Quin scored a run.
Urban pitched the three innings, allowing one hit with two strikeouts and a walk.
In the 29-5 contest, Mt. Hermon scored 10 runs in the first inning before adding 15 more in the second to go up, 25-4.

Both teams will play again in the Jewel Sumner Tournament that began on March 11 and continues on March 12.
