Ms. Mary Ann Reed was the daughter of Mrs. Classie Mae Walker and Mr. Cleo Reed. She was born on Dec. 12, 1954 in Independence, and departed this life in Baton Rouge on April 9, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Classie Mae Walker; father, Mr. Cleo Reed; three sisters, Ella Louise Walker, Mattie Mae Walker and Judy Ann Owens Martin; and two brothers, James Earl Owens and George Reed.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Kevin Reed, Torrence Reed and Broderick Reed; three sisters, Shirley Mae Walker of Atlanta, Ga., Charlene Reed of Baton Rouge, and Dorothy Williams of Bogalusa; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Walker and Cedrick Blackburn; a special friend, Richard Sam; two great-nephews, Clemille Walker and Denzel Walker; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Drive-through viewing will be Friday, April 15, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raynis Bridges officiating.
