Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church

Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church will honor and recognize high school graduates Letrese Jeannette Bell, Khrystian Shermere Scott, Alana Jackee’ Nicole Cotton and Olivia Ariel-Jachelle Parker. The service will be held at the church on Sunday, May 22. The honors and recognition service begins at 11 a.m. The church is located at 1104 Poplas St. in Bogalusa. The speaker will be Mr. Tyrin Truong. Truong is a small business owner and candidate for mayor of Bogalusa. He is the son of Thy Truong and Romel Harris. Truong graduated from Washington University, where he majored in African-American studies and political science. During his time at WashU, he had the high honor of serving as the 53rd student body president. He also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives under U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay. Troung currently serves as Director of Policy for the Urban League of Louisiana, advocating for the civil rights of all people. In the community, Truong runs a youth organization called Better Bogalusa — focused on investing in our youth through education and action. Parents, relatives and friends are invited to attend.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church

Join for the “Gospel Extravaganza” on Saturday, June 4, from noon until 6 p.m. in Cassidy Park in Bogalusa. Come and bring your choirs, praise teams, liturgical dancers, etc., to help the church celebrate this “spiritual explosion.” Bring your own chair to sit back and relax in this exuberant praise and fellowship. Psalms 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

Highland Baptist Church

Highland Baptist Church, located at 21022 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, will have revival Sunday, June 5, through Wednesday, June 8. The revival begins Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Greg Sullivan bringing the message and singing. It will continue nightly at 6 p.m. with Bro. Scott Kimble preaching and Bro. Drew LeBlanc providing music.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Children’s Sunday School and Pastor Joe Arthur’s Adult Bible class each begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday service starts at 10:30 a.m. with Divine Worship celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday, using best practices to avoid coronavirus spread. New Bethel Church

Every week is full of activity at New Bethel Church, located at 737 Ave. F in Bogalusa. Monday at 6:30 p.m. is a Small Group Class on Prayer by Sister Mary. Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is Wild Ones Youth Night. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. is a Leadership and Prayer Meeting, and at 6:30 p.m. is Worship and Teaching. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is Celebrate Recovery. Friday at 6 p.m. is Chosen Movie Night. Saturday at 6 p.m. is Karaoke Night, and Sunday at 11 a.m. is the Sunday Morning Service.

Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay.
