Edna M. Seal Mizell, 72, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, in Bogalusa. She was born in Bogalusa on Nov. 30, 1949, to the late Edward W. and Dorothy Wilson Seal. She was a member of First Church here in Bogalusa, volunteered as a Pink Lady here at the hospital, and taught Sunday School. She was a very Christian lady and her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren.
Edna is survived by her husband, Charles Mizell; her sons, Charles “Chuck” (Maria) Mizell and Chad (Jennifer) Mizell; grandchildren, Alex Mizell, Madeline Higgins, Olivia and Sophia Mizell, Ashley (Ryan) Soileau, and Sarah Mizell; and her great-grandchildren, Henry and Charlotte Soileau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward W. Seal and Dorothy Wilson Seal; and her brother, Edward Albert Seal.
A Celebration of Edna’s life took place Monday, Nov. 7, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with the visitation starting at 9 a.m. and remaining open until the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leon Hickman and the Rev. Travis Houston officiated the service and interment followed at Mizell Cemetery in Isabel.
