WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the Department of Transportation (DOT) will grant three Louisiana airports a total of $9,900,000.00 from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). The funding will support airport improvements, including a new road at connecting the north terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport with the rental car facilities. Since last fall, Louisiana airports have received a total of $58.1 million in IIJA funding, with more expected over the next three years.
“By investing in our airports, Louisiana is investing in our economy while making the state attractive for business,” said Dr. Cassidy. “The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act continues to deliver for communities across Louisiana.”
