Varnado’s softball team has started the season with a 1-1 record.

Varnado began the season with a 16-0 loss to Loranger on Feb. 22 and then defeated Independence, 17-2 on Friday. Both games were on the road.

Varnado’s next game will be against Louise McGehee on Feb. 28 on the road.
