Men’s Golfer of the Week
Tyler Jones, Marshall
(Sr., Westerville, Ohio)

Thundering Herd senior Tyler Jones finished the Loyola Intercollegiate at seven-under-par this past weekend, placing him in a tie for sixth and leading Marshall to a fourth-place finish at the event. The highlight of Jones’ weekend was a final-round 67, during which he carded six birdies en route to finishing five-under and Marshall tied for the top team round of the tournament. He finished at even par or better in all three rounds with a 72-70-67 weekend. In total, he carded 14 birdies.

Women’s Golfer of the Week
Alessia Mengoni, ULM
(Jr., Rome, Italy)

Warhawks’ junior Alessia Mengoni fired a six-under-par 66 in the third round to climb four spots into a three-way-tie for first place with an eight-under-par 208 (69-73-66) at the GCU Invitational in Phoenix. Her 66 tied for the second-lowest round in program history and her 54-hole total tied the school record. Her 16 birdies led the 95-player field and she also posted 31 pars. The ULM women’s golf team shot a school-record 10-under-par 278 in the third round of the GCU Invitational on Tuesday, en route to winning the team title by 13 strokes, finishing at 19-under 845. The Warhawks also shattered both the school and tournament records for the lowest 54-hole total. It was the second tournament title of the 2022-23 season for ULM.
