Judy Marie Robinson was born May 25, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Eddie Will and Lois Jefferson. She passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. 

At an early age, she joined Center Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Linwood Bolton Sr. She later joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sidney Burns, Jr. where she was a faithful member and served on the usher board.

Judy graduated from Wesley Ray High School, the home of the Eagles, in 1968. She united in marriage twice. In her free time, she enjoyed going to church, visiting the sick and shut in with her sister-in-law, Nercille Jefferson, and watching her beloved Saints play football. Judy was an excellent cook and loved to can her greens. She was known as the “Collard Green Queen”. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a sweet and loving soul.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Apostle Kenneth (Tonia) Nichols of Reynoldsburg, OH, Tywonda Robinson of Angie, LA, and Lebrandon (Deshawn) Robinson of Auburn, GA; seven grandchildren, Lashonda Johnson, Robert Collins, Japonica Brown, Antonio Tynes, Cordero Brown, Arkell Tynes, and Ramya Teasley; eight great- grandchildren, Saria Young, Laila McGowan, Aria Tynes, Anyri Carson, Kamali Collins, Kaden Barnes, Cheyenne and Christopher, Jr. Celestine; one sister, Lois (John) Franklin of Houston, TX; two brothers, Marris Jefferson, Sr. of Angie, LA and Richard (Linda) Stallworth of Houston, TX; one sister-in-law whom was more like a sister, Nercille Jefferson of Angie, LA; one son-in-law, Clyde Brown; one God sister, Juanita Spikes; one God brother, Leroy Spikes, Sr.; best friend, Glendora Hawthorne; special friends, Ola Youngblood, Jerry Faye Young, and Bobbie Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her exceptional daughter, Jackie Marie Brown; parents, Eddie Will and Lois Jefferson; two sisters, Jackie Clayborne and Shirley Johnson; two brothers, Bobby Stallworth and Eddie Jefferson; and one God brother, Johnny Weary.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Pilgram Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Apostle Kenneth Nichols – Officiating.
