The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that despite the widespread cell service interruptions, the ability to reach emergency services by dialing 911 remains unaffected. “Your safety is our top priority, and access to 911 services is fully operational,” assured the department. The Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness has been informed by the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness of a nationwide cellular outage, primarily affecting communications with AT&T carriers. The issue, described as a routing problem rather than a tower or fiber concern, has led to sporadic service disruptions. AT&T is actively working on resolving the situation, though a timeline for restoration has not been provided.
