Mr. Billy Wayne Crosby, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, La., passed away on July 9, 2024, in Mandeville, La., at Pontchartrain Health Care Facility, at the age of 84.

Mr. Crosby was a Navy veteran, and was employed with the Box Plant for 42 years.

Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife of 63 years Sharon Pounds Crosby of Bogalusa, La.; two sons, Bryan Wade “Chuck” Crosby and Blake Warren Crosby, both of Bogalusa, La.; grandchildren, Brannan Crosby, Katie Crosby, Ally Crosby; a special daughter-in-law, Laurie Sumrall Crosby of Bogalusa, La.; a sister-in-law, Marjon (Wynn) Pierce of Daphne, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, Robert “Bobby” (Robbie) Pounds of Bogalusa, La. and Michael “Mike” Pounds of Bush, La.; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Bura Crosby and Mammie Cooper Crosby; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Bessonette.

A private family memorial service will be held at later time under the  direction of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory.
