Clarence Glenn Sheridan lost his battle to cancer on Monday, April 13, 2015, at the age of 74.
He was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, and a former Dixie Life Insurance Agent and served 12 years as Washington Parish police juror.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Faye Sheridan of Bogalusa; three daughters, Sandra Sheridan of Bogalusa, Sharon (Ken) Butts of Meridian, Miss., and Carol (Mickey) Fortenberry of Bogalusa; four sisters, Carolyn (Lavern) Jenkins of Pine, Ann (Jimmy) Owens of Bogalusa, Mary (Mike) Williams of Varnado and Martha Lee of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Moore, Ana (Austin) Moore, Russ Butts, Ryan Butts, Laken (Randall) Sheridan, Ryan Fortenberry, Dustin Fortenberry and Josh Fortenberry; and five great-grandchildren, Brody Williams, Addyson Williams, Cainen Magee, Paxton Fortenberry and Jason Williams, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pearlie Sheridan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elder Huey and Lavada Byrd; paternal grandparents, Willie and Caroline Sheridan; maternal grandparents, Milton and Posey Miley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., with Bro. Tommy Hudnall, Bro. Clyde Cooper and Bro. Doyle Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Dustin Fortenberry, Josh Fortenberry, Ryan Fortenberry, Ryan Butts, Randall Williams, Austin Hale and Jason Williams.
