He is risen!

Children enjoy the day that is commonly referred to as Easter because of traditional things such as Easter egg hunts, bunny rabbits and candy.

Even adults who might not attend church on a regular basis realize the significance of the day and make it a point to attend the church of their choice.

We heard a local minister sum it up quite succinctly during his Palm Sunday message to his congregation.

“We know we’re going to have a large attendance on Easter because that is the one day of the year that people make it a point to come to church,” the minister said.

Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was hung on the cross as a payment for our sins.

Our problems and concerns today pale in comparison as to what Christ suffered through thousands of years ago.

As adults, we need to set good examples for our children and attend church regularly. Our children will be enriched. Children learn from what they see and experience.

The story of Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our shortcomings is a story all children should know about.
