Dewitt Stewart, age 63, passed away March 29, 2015, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

He was a resident of Bogalusa. Dewitt graduated from Enon High School in 1969. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was retired from Temple-Inland. He was a charter member of Chapter 31 International Harvester Collection Club. Dewitt was also a member of Zona Lodge No. 337. He loved farming, restoring and collecting tractors and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Alford Stewart; three sons Rusty (Summer) Stewart, Patrick R. Stewart and Casey Stewart; four brothers, Howard (Linda) Stewart, Lamar (Doris) Stewart, Robert (Diane) Stewart and Boady (Kelly) Stewart; six sisters, Janice Bedwell, Elaine (Rick) Buras, Sylvia (late Richard) Forbes, Rita (Buddy) Jenkins, Marion (Dennis) Galloway and Emelda (Mike) Hunt; grandchildren Scout and Sawyer Sandifer; many nieces nephews and cousins; also his best buddy, his Blue Healer “Tucker”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Estelle Stewart; his mother-in-law Margaret Alford; and his brother, Jeff Stewart.

Visitation was held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Tuesday March 31, 2015; from 10:30 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 4 p.m. Burial was in Hillview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dennis Allen and the Rev. Pete Underwood officiated.

Pallbearers were Dewayne Lambert, Russell lambert, Brian Stewart, Tommy Stewart, Ricky Culpepper, and Aubrey Rawls. Honorary Pallbearers included International Harvester Chapter 31 members.
