Local and area artists are busy finishing up their latest creations for the Washington (Parish) Art Association big group art show and sale, to he held on Sunday, March 23, from 2-5 p.m.

The show will once again be at the home of Sara Nelson, 28035 Winfred Bateman Road, across from Sherman’s store in Clifton. Art Association members will share artwork, including various styles of painted art, original woodwork and jewelry.

“We are hoping for great attendance again this year,” said Ann Warner, co-chairman of the show with Nelson. “Last year was fantastic. We saw such a fine quality of art and the attendance was outstanding.

“This is a lovely event where we share art and the artists with the community. It is a cultural time as well as an opportunity for artists to show and sell their work,” she added. “Visitors come from around the area to enjoy this afternoon.”

According to the chairmen, everyone is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments. There is no admission charge. Just come and see the lovely work of local artists.

For artists, artwork will be accepted on Wednesday, March 19, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Nelson house. Wednesday afternoon is the deadline for bringing artwork for the show.
