SPECIAL TO THE DAILY NEWS

Enon Library was happy to host students from several classes who are learning about Louisiana.  Timing was perfect to receive 100 free copies of the litter free Louisiana book, Keep Louisiana Beautiful,  from the office of Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser.

Through a variety of fun and educational activities, children learned valuable lessons about litter prevention, recycling, and the environment. The activities were tailored to inspire reflection, problem-solving, and creativity. The children learned that preventing litter is everyone’s responsibility.

Pictured are a few of the groups that enjoyed the activity book, which will be a great conversation starter with their friends and families. Library manager, Winola Holliday, discussed strategies with the students to make them aware of ways to keep beautiful Louisiana litter free.
