SPECIAL TO THE DAILY NEWS
Our Lady of Angels hospital recently honored their most recent Daisy and Bee award recipients.
The DAISY Award, established in 1999, was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes to honor the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day. Just as the DAISY cannot survive without the BEE, our nurses cannot thrive without the outstanding teamwork provided by their colleagues. The BEE Award, Being Extraordinary Every day, honors team members who help to create an exceptional patient experience.
Whether through direct patient care or by offering essential support to meet our patients’ needs, these remarkable individuals exemplify what it means to be a true team player and excel in their roles. Their dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for all they do to care for our patients, day in and day out.
Receiving the Daisy Award was Registered Nurse, Christa Seal, who works in the emergency department and the Bee awards went to Patient Access Representative, Tonya Smith, who works at the OLOA Family Medicine Clinic, on Gobbler Head Road and Kim Readlinger, Clinical Nutrition Manager at the hospital.
