On May 8, 2025, the Rayburn Correctional Center proudly hosted its Annual Employee Awards Ceremony, honoring the exceptional contributions of its staff. Warden Travis Day and Deputy Warden Keith Bickham presented awards to outstanding employees in various categories.

The recipients of the Yearly Awards for 2024 included: Correctional Officer of the Year: MSgt. Sonya Haynes, Support Employee of the Year: Robert Breland (IT), Security Supervisor of the Year: Lt. Janet McBeth, and Non-Security Supervisor of the Year: Sheret Luper (RN Supervisor).

The recipients for the Warden’s Award of Excellence for 2024 included: Captain Mikaela Jenkins, Lt. Dillon Tynes, Mr. Dustin Thigpen (Plumber), Mrs. Paula Stringer (RN Manager), Mrs. Dewanna Thomas (Education Teacher), and Master Sergeant Courtney Holloway.

Master Sergeant Christian Mizell was honored with the Distinguished Service Award for 2024, recognizing his exceptional dedication and service to the facility.

The ceremony served as a testament to the hard work and commitment of the staff at Rayburn Correctional Center, celebrating their achievements and contributions to the facility and the community.
