This summer, the Washington Parish STEM & Innovative Learning Center is bringing inspiration, innovation, and opportunity to local youth with a wide range of exciting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) camps and workshops. These hands-on programs are designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills through engaging, project-based learning.

The season kicked off with a Coding and Game Design Camp, where students are not only learning to build their own video games but are also sharpening critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. With an emphasis on creativity and collaboration, this camp exemplifies the Center’s commitment to preparing students for the challenges of the future.

“STEAM education is more important than ever,” said a spokesperson for the Center. “It encourages innovation and equips students with the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”

New Community Tech Hub Opens June 2nd

In addition to the summer programming, the Washington Parish STEM & Innovative Learning Center is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its Community Tech Hub, located at 322 S Columbia St., Bogalusa, LA. Open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, the Tech Hub is designed to serve as a dynamic resource for residents of all ages.
