No injuries, just a car with questionable parking skills

On Friday, June 13, 2025 — yes, Friday the 13th — Bogalusa police officers were called to the intersection of Sullivan Drive and North Avenue for a single-vehicle accident that was anything but ordinary.
An officer on routine patrol was flagged down by a concerned citizen who had just witnessed the crash. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle in a rather precarious position: resting on the guide wire of a utility pole like it was trying to audition for a circus balancing act.
According to the investigation, the driver may have experienced a medical episode that caused her to lose control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway and found itself caught on the guidewire, where it came to an awkward but secure stop.
EMS responded promptly to evaluate the driver, who thankfully sustained no serious injuries and declined transport to the hospital. While the vehicle likely needed a little more than just a tire rotation, the good news is that no one else was hurt and the utility pole bravely stood its ground.
Police remind everyone to stay alert to any signs of medical distress while driving and to always keep both hands on the wheel, and off the wires.
