This weekend marks your final opportunity to experience the Varnado Store Museum’s stirring “A Salute to the Military” exhibit—an unforgettable journey through America’s proud military history.

Step into the footsteps of heroes as you explore an extraordinary display of uniforms, weapons, documents, photographs, scrapbooks, and personal artifacts spanning every major American conflict. From the Revolutionary War to modern deployments, the exhibit honors the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who have worn the nation’s uniform.

With memorabilia on loan from local families and collectors, the exhibit is deeply personal—showcasing not just history, but the legacy of service passed down through generations. Each item on display tells a story of courage and patriotism that helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today.

The museum is open Saturday 10am – 4pm and Sunday 1 – 4 pm. Admission is free, making this a must-see for families, veterans, history lovers, and anyone who wants to honor those who served. Donations are gratefully accepted to help the museum continue its mission of preserving and sharing local and national history.
