The Alliance will unite artists, educators, faith leaders, business owners, and residents to create murals, sculpture, music, theatre, and literary projects that reflect the heart and heritage of Washington Parish. Inspired by the success of similar initiatives across the country, the movement aims to revitalize public spaces, boost tourism and small business, and uplift the spirit of the community through creativity and collaboration.
“This is about more than beautifying walls—it’s about building connection, pride, and purpose,” said Malinda White, founder of Renaissance Studio and leading organizer of the effort. “We believe that art can heal, inspire, and create opportunities. Washington Parish has stories to tell and talents to showcase—we’re just getting started.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about the vision and mission of the Alliance
• Meet local artists and community changemakers
