Bogalusa Police Seek Suspect in Sunday Night Drive-By Shooting

On Sunday night, July 13, 2025, at approximately 7:14 p.m., the Bogalusa Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the 900 block of Avenue G in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Responding officers quickly arrived on scene and discovered a white male victim suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for immediate medical treatment. Detectives were called to the scene and launched an investigation.
Through further investigation, detectives identified the suspect and determined the events that led to the shooting. Arrest warrants have been issued for Daniel King Brown, age 39 (DOB: March 31, 1986), on the following charges 1 count Attempted First Degree Murder, 1 count of Assault By Drive By Shooting, and 1 count of Illegal Use Of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments.
The Bogalusa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Brown, who is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Bogalusa Police Department at 985-732-3611.
Investigators believe Brown may have connections to the Brookhaven, Mississippi area.
