Washington Parish now has two new deputies.

Deputy Lionel Mark and Deputy Derek Dominguez recently graduated from the regional law enforcement academy in Lafourche Parish.

The academy curriculum consists of 10 weeks of intense study, including not only academics, but also firearms training and physical fitness.

“These two men represent all that is great about Washington Parish,” Sheriff Randy Seal said. “We are honored to have them as members of the Sheriff’s Office family. I congratulate them on this achievement and look forward to working with them as we serve the citizens of our fine parish.”
