An alleged argument over a man ended with a stabbing death around midnight Sunday morning, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The incident reportedly occurred at the Boom Boom Room in the 29,000 block of Old Columbia Road in the Live Oak community near Angie.
Sheena Mark, 26, of Sandy Hook was stabbed once in the heart area and died on the way to the hospital, said Chief Deputy Mike Haley. The aggressor was Felicia Young, 23, of Angie, he said.
Young was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Haley commended Capt. Tommie Sorrel, detectives Anthony Stubbs and Glenn McClendon, and Lt. Tom Anderson and his patrol shift for their work on the case.
In a separate incident, a Washington Parish man died at his own hand after a short chase by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Saturday morning, Haley said.
The STPSO was working a checkpoint on Swamp Road just south of the Enon/Isabel area and attempted to pull over a man with an expired inspection sticker, he said.
The man, Jim Jordan, of Mizell Loop Road, instead “sped off.” The ensuing pursuit ended when Jordon shot and killed himself, Haley said.
