Varnado’s Wildcats were victorious over Ecole Classique, 11-1, in a game that went five innings Monday in District 8-1A play on the road.

Three pitchers combined to not allow an earned run. Jaylan Jefferson, who got the win, struck out four and walked one over two innings.

Xavier Moses threw two innings with six strikeouts and a walk.

Errol Varnado pitched an inning and had three strikeouts.

Offensively, Jo’Nathan Green homered, drove in two and scored twice in a 2-for-2 day.

Moses went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored.

Armontee Kemp had no official at-bat. He walked twice, stole two bases and scored a pair of runs.

The win put Varnado’s overall record at 8-6 and the Wildcats moved back to the .500 mark in district play at 2-2.
