Franklinton’s Yvon Tran was the Lady Demons’ top finisher in the District 8-4A Meet that was held Wednesday at Fritchie Park in Slidell.
Tran finished the three-mile race in 26 minutes and finished 18th. Emily Lopez ran in 28:29 for 22nd place.
Dawn Kenoe was 24th at 35:41 with Deborah Brewster taking 25th in 37:05, and Kayleigh Penton 26th at 37:10. Shamya Hart was 27th.
The top 10 runners are all-district.
St. Scholastica Academy’s Molly McHale won the event in 19:10 by 1:09 over teammate Brooke Naccari in a 27-runner field.
Lakeshore’s Haley Dean was third at 21:17. St. Scholastica runners Hadeleine Beehac, Emily McHale, Katie Collura and Sarah Tate were fourth through seventh with times of 21:27, 21:32, 21:34 and 22:31.
Lakeshore teammates Tracie Plaisance, Paige Delsa and Jacie Plaisance were eighth through 10th. Tracie Plaisance ran a 23:13 while Delsa and Jacie Plaisance were at 23:15.
St. Scholastica won the team competition with 21 points, as three teams qualified for points.
Lakeshore was second with 42, followed by Franklinton at 103.
