Bogalusa’s Powell, Lenoir are 2nd-team all-district players

Bogalusa’s DaJuan Powell and Dianté Lenoir were named second-team all-district players for the 2017-18 season.
Powell averaged 10.8 points per game this season along with 2.8 assists and two steals for the Lumberjacks.
Lenoir tallied 8.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this year to go with three steals per game.
Two Lumberjacks are honorable-mention all-district players — Braedtrick Whittine and Chance Turner.
Whittine posted averages of 9.8 points and nine boards this season.
Turner recorded 7.2 points per game this year.
Loranger’s Bryan Spears is the league’s Most Valuable Player and the district’s Defensively Most Valuable Player.
Archbishop Hannan coach Errol Gauff is the league’s Coach of the Year.
The first-team all-district players are Jewel Sumner teammates Cameron Lee and Chris Fox, Albany’s Caleb Puma, Archbishop Hannan’s Christian Grembowicz and Loranger’s Ladarious Gordon.
In addition to Powell and Lenoir, the second-team players are Archbishop Hannan teammates Norris Williams and Ben Hundley along with Albany’s Trey Yelverton.
Besides Whittine and Turner, the rest of the all-district honorable-mention players are Loranger’s B.J. Jackson and Lortavious Spears, Archbishop Hannan’s Logan Durey and Jordan Martin and Albany’s Brayden Davis.
