Bogalusa’s Josh Taylor had a solid night in a 50-45 victory over Independence at home Tuesday.
Taylor scored 22 points and recorded six 3-pointers.
T.J. Peyton and Chance Turner recorded 10 points each.
The Lumberjacks led 46-35 through three quarters.
Bogalusa coach Randall Ginn said his team played well defensively. He said the Lumberjacks were ahead by 11 going into the fourth quarter and then Independence half-court trapped them.
“We turned the ball over and missed open layups. We can’t function with a tentative nature. Fortunate to hang on for the win,” Ginn said.
