Bogalusa High School’s Chloe’ Foster
Bogalusa’s Chloe’ Foster is a basketball player and is going to be playing softball this season for the Lady Jacks. The senior is a guard for the basketball team.
Last season, Foster was an all-district honorable mention player.
“I love her leadership. She’s like a coach on the court,” Bogalusa girls basketball coach Frank Gambino said. “She’s a real positive influence for our team. She doesn’t beat anybody down. She picks everybody up. That’s one of her great attributes. She gets more down on herself than anybody else on the team. She has a very good understanding of the game, what we’re trying to accomplish. I hate that I’m only going to have her for one year because I really believe I could have fine-tuned her as a coach on the court because every time I’m saying something, she understands what I’m trying to accomplish and she can relay it to the athletes better on the court better than I can when I speak to them. So sometimes they don’t take what I’m saying the way she does. She interprets it for me on the court, so she’s like a coach on the court pretty much.”
What do you enjoy most about playing your sports?
When I’m playing sports, it kind of helps me forget about everything that I’m going through.
What do you like best about being a student athlete?
Student athletes, not only do we get acknowledged for our academics, we also get acknowledged for playing sports.
Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?
My cousin (2016 Varnado High School graduate) Tarralyn Moses. Every time she plays, she gives it her all and I see how far sports has taken her. I look up to her for that.
Who is your favorite athlete? Why?
Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. I love his aggressiveness and the way he used to attack to score.
Favorite team?
New Orleans Saints.
Best thing about living in Washington Parish?
The fair. We’re the only people with a free fair. I mean, it’s just a good time and everybody in the parish, you see so many people that you don’t usually see. It’s just fun for Washington Parish.
