Franklinton’s Brylie Fowler hit a walkoff double in the 11th inning that plated Missouri Varnado with the winning run in a 5-4 victory over District 8-4A opponent Pearl River in the final regular season game of 2019.
The game was tied 4-4 through seven innings.
Neither team scored until the 11th when Fowler’s RBI single won it for the Lady Demons.
Fowler finished with the double, the RBI and she scored a run.
Varnado scored the run.
Ashlyn Welch singled, tripled and drove in two runs.
Bailey Brooks tallied a pair of hits.
Bailey Spears singled and scored a run.
Albanie Fussell singled and drove in a run.
Ashlan Ard and Aaliyah Faour scored a run each.
Fussell went the distance, allowing three earned runs on five hits with eight strikeouts and four walks for the win.
