Pine’s Lady Raiders were defeated by University Lab, 25-15, 25-11, 25-11, in the bi-district round of the Division IV playoffs on the road Tuesday.
“I am extremely proud of this group of girls,” Pine coach Tammy Voth said. “We have accomplished something this year we have never done before. We had a winning season! We were 12 and 5 on the season. This was the best season in Pine history. We will be losing four seniors this year and they will truly be missed. We will have some rebuilding to do, but I know our Raider team will be ready for next season, but this season was one for the books. Thanks girls for a wonderful year.”
Kiyasha Clark downed three kills and recorded two digs for the 18th-seeded Lady Raiders.
Makia Clark tallied three kills.
Leah Ladner served three aces.
Kaitlyn Cochran and Hailey Martin had an ace each.
Savannah McDaniel tallied one dig.
University Lab, which went 9-10 in the regular season, advances to the regional round and will play second-seeded John Curtis (21-3). John Curtis defeated No. 31 Caddo (2-10), 25-5, 25-8, 25-10.
The winner plays either seventh-seeded Isidore Newman (11-5) or No. 10 Lafayette Christian (14-5) in the quarterfinals.
