Two local girls basketball teams are headed to the LHSAA playoffs.
Bogalusa and Pine have reached the postseason and both are on the road.
Bogalusa made the Class 3A playoffs as the No. 30 seed. The Lady Jacks (12-16) will play against third-seeded Albany (21-6) on the road Thursday at 6 p.m. The winner will play either No. 14 Ville Platte (20-10) or 19th-seeded Baker (10-15).
Switching to Class 2A, Pine is the 17th seed and the Lady Raiders (14-8) will play against No. 16 Jonesboro-Hodge (13-13) on Thursday. The winner will play against either top-seeded 2020-21 state semifinalist Amite (27-2) or 32nd-seed Kentwood (5-16).
Pine and Jonesboro-Hodge played each other last year with No. 25 Pine coming up just short to eighth-seeded Jonesboro-Hodge, 40-36.
