Pine falls to Northlake Christian School

Pine’s Raiders suffered a 10-0 loss to perennial powerhouse the Northlake Christian School Wolverines on the road Tuesday.

Since 2010, Northlake Christian has captured the Division III state title (2011). The team has been the state runner-up twice (2012 and 2014), and the Wolverines have made the quarterfinals twice (2010 and 2013).

Pine coach Trey Jenkins said Nick Sapp was the leader defensively, with Jerry Elzie and Raydarrius Robertson also have great performances. He also said that Thomas Branch made some nice saves. He said they had a couple of shots, including one nice opportunity by Will Polk with an assist from Colton Terrell.

Pine loses to Northlake Christian School

Pine’s Lady Raiders were defeated by Northlake Christian School’s Lady Wolverines, 9-1, in a road game held Tuesday.

Abby Thomas scored the goal for Pine in the second half.

Allison Creel and Kirsten Barber both played goalkeeper for Pine

Northlake Christian is consistently in postseason play. Since 2010, the Lady Wolverines have been to the regional round three times (2010, 2012 and 2013) and the quarterfinals twice (2011 and 2014).
