Pine tallied a 1-1 record in matches against Springfield and Varnado that were held on Sept. 15 and on Tuesday.

The contest held on Sept. 15 against Springfield was a 25-8, 19-25, 25-12, 25-16 loss on the road.

Samantha Thomas posted six kills and four blocks.

Cameron Magee recorded six kills.

Katie Crain tallied five kills and three blocks.

Addi Nobles had two kills and an ace.

Abbi Schilling served two aces.

Gabby Pigott recorded a dig.

On Tuesday, Pine defeated Varnado, 25-9, 25-3, 25-13, at home.

Nobles served 10 aces and two kills.

Pigott posted six aces and a dig.

Thomas downed six kills.

Schilling and Emily Singley both had an ace.

Crain posted a kill.

Varnado played Doyle on Sept. 15 and was defeated, 25-7, 25-7, 25-9, on the road.

Pine will be back in action on Tuesday when they play against Franklinton at home, while Varnado’s next match will be on Wednesday against Abramson at home.
